WhO We ArE?

Indocita CSR Consulting with the band name of Indocita Foundation (IFound), is an independent not for profit organisation was established in 2007 by a group of dynamic and experienced people who have been engaged in the area of community development. Many of them have been actively working with the affected community in extractive industries. Its mission is to contribute actions to make poverty history by developing and sustaining partnership with multi stakeholders, particularly government and corporations thru their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
We do not believe in the resource-curse phenomena, however, it is still a disturbing irony that those communities living around the operation site of extractive industries, particularly oil and gas sector, remain poor. It is a fact that they live in a rich land of oil and gas which supply to the world energy demand. On the other hand, they remain living in poverty and further suffer from limited access to energy sources.
Many extractive corporations have been conducting their own Community Development (CD) in efforts to address social-economic problems of the affected communities and those who live nearby their sites. Nevertheless, many of the programmes seem less integrated, partial and implemented in a more on one shoot charity rather than sustainable approaches. IFound believes that any CD programmes has to fit in three aspects to ensure maximum social returns and sustainable impact. These are Community Relations, Community Services and Community Empowerment. IFound also realises that poverty problem will can be overcome if it is addressed thru an integrated programme. Hence, IFound responds this circumstance by focusing on Energy Resilience (ER) both as core issue as well as an entry point in fighting poverty.
To achieve its mission, IFound is promoting public-private partnership and encouraging alliances between government and corporations and among communities themselves, regardless of each party’s own interest. IFound serves not only as cement in bridging the partnership among different stakeholders but also contributes in cash, in service and in kind support to the partnership. IFound is guided by four pillars in endeavouring to empower community to achieve their sustainable livelihood toward dignity and independent community.

(1) Focusing on process for quick impact as a pathway for sustainability
Proactive and solution-focused approach to community stabilization, emphasize on quick impact community projects with a common interest aimed at uniting communities around tangible interventions. The quick impact serves as a pathway to sustainability and has a multiplier effect, even in the short term.

(2) Enhancing partnership for Skills Development
A strong thematic emphasis shall be given to business management training and environmentally friendly practices and economically effective by applying community appropriate technology. Both skills provide the poorest of the poor within community with new or additional tools to enhance their value, resources management and access to finance and market in ensuring the programmes will able to bring more benefits and sustainability

(3) Enhancing Integrated Interventions
Integrated intervention is crucial in programme implementation as collaboration among state, corporation and communities as well as within and between communities themselves is one of factor in contributing to the programme’s achievement. The term integrated also means sharing resources and alignments with other organisations to maximize the economic benefit.

(4) Emphasizing on Measurable Result
IFound adopts both quantitative and qualitative indicators in measuring progress results in the targeted community. The number of direct and indirect people affected by the programme will be assessed thru a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework based on Vectorial Project Analysis (VPA) and Result Based Management (RBM).
